World Cancer Day serves as a reminder of the global effort needed to combat cancer and the importance of early detection and care in saving lives. To create awareness about the illness, especially childhood cancer, PGSC organized a talk on “Risk factors and prevention of Cancer”. Dr. Bavneet Kaur Dang, Associate Professor, Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar was the resource person. Dr Dang spoke on various aspects related to cancer, including the most common reasons for its occurrence, measures and tests for prevention or early detection, therapies, vaccines and more. On this occasion, Poster making Competition on the theme “Fight Cancer” was also organized. 130 students and teachers participated in the event.
