Work Shop on 5S Methodology (July 30, 2024)
PGSC organized the workshop- on 5S Methodology for ITI students, students from schools (vocational stream) & personnel from the local industry. The workshop aimed to provide participants with an understanding of the 5S principles and their practical applications in workplace organization and efficiency. The 5S methodology (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain the work environment), originating from Japan, is a systematic approach to workplace organization that enhances productivity, safety, and quality. The resource person for the event was Mr. Sonu Bansal, Associate Counselor from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chandigarh, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on 5S and shared his experiences with implementing 5S techniques in workplaces to enhance productivity and ensure a safe working environment. Also present was Mr. Ricky Rana, Zonal Head (CII), Jalandhar. >100 participants attended the event.
