International Women's Day has great significance for gender equality and women's rights. This day gives a platform to raise awareness about women's rights across sectors including social, economic, cultural and political achievements. The campaign theme for this year was 'Inspire Inclusion. 'Though this campaign, the importance of diversity and empowerment in all aspects of society is emphasized. Also, the campaign theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. PGSC celebrated the day by organizing a workshop on “Recycling Art: Waste to Wealth”. The main thrust was Inclusivity for all sections, especially, representing women from marginalised sections through waste to wealth craft. The event was dedicated to vitiligo affected, acid attack victims & transgenders. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean, Innovations & Research, HMV College and Ms. Jaskaran, Assistant Professor, Textile Designing, HMV College were the resource persons. 53 girl students & teachers from different colleges participated in the workshop.
