Pushpa Gurjal Science City organized the INNO-TECH 2024 in collaboration with IKG Punjab Technical University to commemorate the 19th Annual Day of Science City. More than 400 students from different Engineering & Polytechnic colleges of Punjab demonstrated their innovative models at this occasion. A team of experts from NIT Jalandhar and Thapar Institute evaluated the models.
Dr. Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor IKG Punjab Technical University was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He motivated the budding engineers, ignited their passion for groundbreaking ideas and technological advancements. He emphasized on the pivotal role of creativity as well as application of science, technology and innovation, (STI) in achieving Sustainable Development Goals as well as in enhancing productivity, transforming the economy, creating jobs, advancing healthcare, ensuring food security, improving living conditions thus contributing to the overall prosperity of a society.
Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director, Science City, highlighted the pressing challenges facing our world today, ranging from climate change to global health crises. He emphasized that innovation is the key to addressing these challenges, offering fresh perspectives, technologies, and approaches.
