Engineers Day 2024

Pushpa Gujral Science City celebrated Engineers Day 2024 with an exciting Robotics Championship to commemorate  the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Vishveshvaraya. Around 300 budding engineers from engineering and polytechnic colleges across Punjab gathered to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and teamwork through designing and operating robots.

Participants competed in challenges like ROBO Sumo Fight and Off-Roading, using their ingenuity to solve engineering problems. Er. Ritesh Pathak, Scientist D addressed the gathering, emphasizing that Engineers Day celebrates the spirit of innovation, creativity, and the endless potential of technology. He remarked that the championship showcased the essence of engineering, with young minds collaborating to push boundaries and explore new possibilities.

Dr. Afzal Sikander from NIT Jalandhar evaluated the robots' performance and  delivered a talk. He said that the event offered platform to promote teamwork, encouraged the application of technical knowledge, and inspired students to contribute responsibly to the future of technology.

In the championship, GNA emerged as the winner of the Robotics Championship.
