Sir Benjamin Franklin was an American polymath, a leading writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, and political philosopher. As a scientist, his studies of electricity made him a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics. He also charted and named the Gulf Stream current. His numerous important inventions include the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove. To commemorate his Birth Anniversary, PGSC organized an Expert Talk and a Caption Contest. Dr. Rohit Mehra, Professor, Deptt. of Physics, Dr. B.R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar was the resource person. The participants were apprised about the Life and Accomplishments of Sir Benjamin Franklin. 79 students and Teachers attended the event.
